wannamake began last October as a collaboration with miss Anna Weber; we got together and started making what we wanted to make. Although we are not working together now, I learned much from her during our time as partners. I learned how to be meticulous and critical about each stitch I make. Embarking on a business with a half-learned skill set will force us to perfect those skills and cultivate the ones most pertinent to the task we have assigned ourselves. After working in my world of the sensual abstract, making things for other people has been a whole new game: Will the dress fit? Will the vessel hold water? Will the seam keep tight with the body at play?
